Open Source Ad Serving Solutions

What Are Ad Server Beans?

Ad Server Beans are a number of free open source and proprietary software components designed to build a full-fledged enterprise ad server.

We have created a few demo products based on these components.

Our proprietary components are not required to run these products or to build your own ad server. We offer them as a replacement of our open source offer with guaranteed performance and as an enhancement of their functionality.

Features

For the list of features specific to each product see our products section. These are the features that are available in each product:

  • user, inventory and campaign management through web interface;
  • internationalization and theme support;
  • reporting by time and domain entity (such as user, campaign, site, banner, adplace);
  • click-through and conversion tracking;
  • virtual installations support (one web application works with multiple databases).

Are Ad Server Beans Right For Me?

You should consider using Ad Server Beans if you belong to one of the following groups:

  • developers who are looking for an open source ad server implementation;
  • big publishers who need their own ad serving solution;
  • ad networks eg. a travel ad network or wireless network that consider replacing their current advertising management software;
  • online advertising agencies that would like to use their own ad agency software to ad serve ads;
  • entrepreneurs, startups that are looking for a way to kick-start their business;
  • small publishers can use our hosted service.

Note: we do not run our own ad network, so you will not find advertisers or publishers here, just the software and services to do that.

Technology

Ad Server Beans are written in Java, C/Linux, and Flex using such powerful frameworks and software as Spring, Hibernate, Adobe Flex, Nginx, Berkeley DB; J2EE, MySQL or any RDBMS.

License

GPL v.2 which means:

  • you can build your own proprietary advertising network and use it commercially hosting the software as a service;
  • you are allowed to modify the software and keep the changes to yourself as long as you do not distribute binaries of your resulting product.

Source code distribution is required only if you want to create another product and distribute it as an installation package. Other license type is negotiable.
